SODI BM310 Magetic faltbarer Telefonständer

The SODI magnetic iPhone stand is a sturdy solid holder. Compact and foldable for storage and portability. My intended usage for this stand was to mount my Android on it to make videos and the tabletop. Unfortunately even with a magnetic Android back I was unable to use it. SODI is intended for iPhone NOT Android. The SODI magnetic iPhone stand is a great value for mounting to your Continuity Camera Mount on a Macbook. Apple MagSafe Charger (not included) Great value.

I have the big iPhone 13 Pro Max in a MagSafe case. I needed a stand for my phone so that I could prop it up when I needed to use the phone as an additional screen (FaceTime, search on the phone while using the computer, etc.). This SODI stand seemed like a good fit so I made the order.The phone stand is quite strong and nicely stiff enough to hold the phone up in various angles and height. Although it is on the desk, I found that due to the extended "neck" and the various angles, I can use the phone while doing FaceTime and have a nice angle of my face shown to the other party.The base is somewhat weighted so the phone does not tip over, even when it's at extreme angles. And I don't see any logos from the front (there is one on the back), so it's designed in a non-showy manner that doesn't make it look cheap.The magnetic part does come off and I am able to use it to hang my phone from the top of my computer monitor. I understand it could be used for the continuity camera, so that's nice. But I think I'll use it more on the stand rather than from on top of the monitor.The magnet is strong, even when I'm using a MagSafe case. So that is another plus.

If you're like me, I don't trust most 3rd party chargers especially those magsafe charging stations that comes with their own power supply as they tend to have flawed or unsteady voltage charging that could damage or decrease the lifespan of your iPhones battery. It is still best to charge your iPhone with Apple's original MagSafe charger and 20W USB-C power adapter. That said, this phone magnetic stand has a removable round magnetic plate where you can place your magsafe charger and make it a charging stand. Cool thing too is that I can also detach the magnetic plate and use it as a continuity camera mount for facetime and zoom meetings on my macbook. My iPhone 13 pro's camera is really amazing when using it as a webcam and this mount makes it possible.If I have to nitpick, the only con would probably the magnet of the round magnetic plate is not as strong as an original MagSagfe charger. Although it is strong enough to hold your phone while mounted.

For the price point this is a very nice little stand for iPhones with a magsafe connector on the back. Note that this is NOT a charger, but the magnet can be swapped out for the Apple charger which would allow the phone to charge when attached.The stand is very sturdy and stable and my phone attached to the included magnet securely.Another neat idea here is that the magnet can be detached from the stand and clipped to the back of a Macbook's display. One of the neat features of the iPhone is that it can wirelessly connect to a Mac as a webcam. So this can make your iPhone into a very high quality webcam. You can see it in action in my video review you'll see linked in the video section above.My only gripe is that I would have loved for it to fold down flatter for traveling. But otherwise a really nice product.

I actually don't use this product for continuity mounted on my MacBook, rather I primarily use this in its stand configuration. The way I use it is essentially I take the stand and put it backwards such that the iPhone's back cameras are pointed at me so that I can use it as my web cam for meetings. Because this stand has two hinges, it is easier to angle the camera such that the camera isn't in an odd angle (like looking straight up your nose). Even when the stand is reversed it is still more than stable enough to hold the phone.
